Thank You, YVR2 Workers
As voting has now concluded, we want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to speak with us over the past several days.
We appreciated every conversation, every question, every honk of support, every thumbs up, and every encouraging word. It meant a great deal to our organizing team to see so many workers engaged in conversations about building a stronger future together through collective bargaining.
Whether we spoke for a few minutes or much longer, thank you for taking the time to listen, ask questions, and share your thoughts about why having a strong, independent union matters. These conversations are what building worker power is all about.
Voting concluded earlier today. The BC Labour Relations Board has now sealed the ballot box. The ballots will not be counted until outstanding issues before the Board have been resolved. This is a normal part of the legal process, and the timing of the count will be determined by the Board.
Until then, we encourage everyone to continue supporting one another and treating each other with respect. The solidarity and determination shown by so many YVR2 workers over the past year has been remarkable.
Thank you again for your support, your courage, and your commitment to making your workplace stronger. We look forward to providing further updates as information becomes available from the BC Labour Relations Board.
