Bargaining Update YVR2: Jun 30 2026
Dear members,
We have heard from many of you that management is refusing to clearly communicate productivity rate expectations and is disciplining workers for not meeting undisclosed targets.
If you are frustrated with confusing or unclear targets, you are encouraged you to ask your supervisor to clearly explain:
- What the specific productivity targets are
- What support or training is available if you are struggling to meet these expectations
You have the right to understand the standards you are being held to. If your supervisor will not provide this information, you may want to:
- Request the policy in writing.
- Take notes of your conversations with management about productivity expectations and discipline.
- Speak with coworkers to see if they are receiving consistent information.
Unifor has a template letter to help you start this process.
Clear productivity standards are essential for fairness and for allowing you to do your job safely and effectively.
Amazon Prime
Further to our previous communication regarding Amazon Prime, Unifor and Amazon have signed off on this in the bargaining process, yet the employer continues stall and deny you this benefit. Amazon and their managers talk about fairness yet continue to punish unionized workers at YVR2. That is not fairness.
We are working to get this resolved as quickly as possible an expect a resolution in July.
As always, continue to send your questions to me and report anti-union intimidation behaviour from your supervisors.
In solidarity,
Mario Santos
