Dear Unifor Local 114 members at YVR2,

On July 10, 2025 workers at Amazon YVR2 became members of Unifor and since then, workers have elected a bargaining committee to negotiate with the employer to draft a new employment contract (“collective agreement”).

What is Unifor?

Unifor is Canada’s largest union in the private sector, representing more than 320,000 workers. Our membership includes thousands of workers in warehousing and distribution operations in critical sectors including food retail, auto parts, pharmaceuticals, general merchandise, and manufacturing.

Unifor believes that warehouse workers across the country deserve the best health and safety protections, fair wages, better working conditions, and respect on the job.

Unifor launched the Warehouse Workers Unite campaign to bring warehouse workers together to address common issues and join forces to raise industry standards.

What are unions?

Unions have a well-established history in Canada. Nearly 1 in 3 working Canadians are members of a union. In virtually every sector of the economy, workers in a union earn higher wages, enjoy health and dental benefits, and have structured working conditions to eliminate favouritism.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

In solidarity,

Mario Santos
Unifor National Representative

P.S. - As always, continue to contact us confidentially with your reports about managers mistreating you or your co-workers. These reports are an important part of helping to eliminate harassment and favouritism in the workplace.
